Massive Jubilation erupted at Idima Abam over the arrival of the Senate Chief Whip, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu as the Senator stormed the community alongside his retinue of staff to give account of his legislative representation at the National Assembly.
So far Orji Kalu and his team have covered Umunneochi, Isuikwuato local government areas engaging various community stakeholders , party loyalists across divides , traditional rulers giving account of his stewardship and assessing the impact of his duties.
On Wednesday Kalu’s first port of call at Idima, Abam was at the Palace, of the Ezeogo of Idima Abam Chief Mba Kalu Ugbo in a brief address Kalu told the Royal father that he is well informed that more still needs to be done for the community.
Kalu noted that other parts of the Abam community were already feeling his impact. The Senate Chief Whip sought the understanding of the community stating that though this is first time at the Senate, he had executed projects at other communities assuring that with the forthcoming preparation of the last budget of the 9th Senate the community will witness his impact.
Shortly after his address Kalu who was joined by prominent politician and business Tycoon Chief Daniel Okeke proceeded to interact with residents of the community at the already jam-packed Amaogudu community hall.
At the Hall , Orji Kalu was welcomed by the Elder Bassey Okorie and Mr.Mike Onwuchekwa the President Generals of Idima Abam and Atani Abam communities respectively.
Credit and Commendations were given to Senator Kalu over the construction of the Atani – NdiOji Road, an appeal was made for the construction of the Idima Abam which is currently in a terrible condition.
The community however in joint accord passed their resolution to support the retention of Senator Orji Uzor Kalu at the Senate come 2023.
