Former Governor of Abia state and Chief Whip of the Senate, Dr Orji Kalu has described the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige as a consummate politician and selfless statesman.
Kalu stressed that Ngige’s accomplishments in all facets of life are enormous and commendable, adding that the Minister’s leadership qualities are worthy of emulation.
The former Governor made these remarks in commemoration of the 70th birthday anniversary of the Minister, noting that Ngige has been consistent in politics and leadership.
He said, ” on behalf of the people of Abia North Senatorial district, I felicitate with the Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige on the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.
“The Minister is a compassionate politician and patriotic statesman, who is committed to the growth and progress of Nigeria.
“Having served meritoriously in various leadership capacities in the private and public sectors, Ngige deserves to be celebrated for his achievements.
“I acknowledge the contributions of the Minister to the social, economic and political development of Nigeria”.
Kalu prayed to God to strengthen Ngige in his endeavours.
