Senator Orji Kalu Expresses Shock, Sadness Over Death Of Chief Ndidi Okereke
The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has expressed sadness over the sudden death of a former Abia State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Ndidi Okereke.
Senator Kalu described Chief Okereke’s death as a rude shock, coming at a time when Umunneochi LGA, Abia North Senatorial District, and indeed the people of Abia State had just started benefiting from his wealth of political and administrative experience.
“The death of Chief Ndidi Okereke is sad, painful and shocking. I am deeply saddened by this devastating news of this fine gentleman who worked closely with me as the governor of Abia State; a committed democrat, community leader, with a deep understanding of the State’s political landscape.
“There is no doubt that he would be missed by the entire political class, especially his Umunneochi LGA, Abia North Senatorial District and Abians in general.”
Senator Kalu, who is the Senator Orji Abia North Senatorial District condoled with the immediate family of the departed, the people of Umunneochi LGA, Abia North Senatorial District, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) over what he described as the loss of a “fine gentleman”.
“I pray that almighty God grant the soul of our beloved Chief Ndidi Okereke eternal rest,” he said.
