Twitter, Instagram suspends Kanye West’s account

American rapper, Kanye West has been locked out of his social media platforms for violating its policy.

According to reports, Instagram and Twitter restricted the accounts of the musician over posts slammed as anti-Semitic.
Last week, Kanye sparked one controversy after another, first at his fashion show and then on social media, prompting accusations of racism and antisemitism.
At Paris Fashion Week on Monday, he unveiled a T-shirt bearing the slogan “White Lives Matter” for his clothing line. He alleged on Friday that Sean Combs, better known as Diddy, was under Jewish control on Instagram. Instagram that day restricted his account.
He went on Twitter early on Sunday morning and posted a string of insults directed at Jews.
Kanye West appeared to be referring to the United States’ defense readiness condition, known as Def. Con, when he tweeted that he would soon go “death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE.”
He wrote, “You guys have been playing with me and trying to black ball anyone who opposes your agenda. Twitter has since deleted the tweet.

Kanye accused Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, the company that owns Instagram, of deleting him from the platform in a different tweet.

In a subsequent tweet, he asked, “Who do you think created the cancel culture?”

Kanye’s account was locked, according to a Twitter spokeswoman, for breaking the site’s rules.

According to a Meta spokeswoman, it restricts accounts that persistently flout its rules.
