The following are more facts emanating from the unfortunate boat mishap in Ogbaru
1) The incident occured on Friday, the 7th of October, 2022
2) About 40 passengers were said to have boarded the ill-fated boat
4) The engine of the boat was said to have failed 3 minutes into the journey and the surging waves hit the boat on a collapsed bridge and it subsequently capsized
4) More than 30 people were rescued by expert swimmers.
5) Six people including 2 kids and 2 ladies were confirmed dead.
The above update have become necessary to avoid unfounded speculations and undue sensationalization of the unfortunate incident
